Ce gérant de la filiale gantoise de la Banque de Bruxelles et échevin libéral entra en Résistance dès 1940 au sein du service de renseignements Zéro. Il eut une activité débordante jusqu’à son arrestation le 21 octobre 1943, s’occupant notamment de presse clandestine ( distribution de Kleine Belg, la Libre Belgique, Vrij), d’aide aux réfractaires (délégué provincial au service Socrate) et de résistance armée. Il fut en relation avec le Front de l’indépendance et l’Armée de Belgique, future Armée secrète. Il mourut à Gross-Rozen (camp de concentration) le 4 (ou 6) décembre 1944.
