Census Records

1900 Census

Both the regular and Soundex censuses are available. This is the first census which gives the month & year of birth, gives the number of years a couple has been married, the number of children the wife has had, and the number of children still living.

1910 Census

Both the regular and Soundex/Miracode censuses are available.

1920 Census

Is now available.

In addition to the federal censuses, there are also special censuses (state, etc.) and Mortality Schedules. When recording census information, be sure to thoroughly check the entire county for all families with the surname.
