Worldwide Storey Reunion 2003
Page Two

Thursday May 8

On the final day of the Reunion, we walked the two blocks from the Hilton to the Allen County Public Library. The Fort Wayne library has the second largest collection of genealogical material in the United States!
After an orientation tour by the library staff, Jack Storey of Belfast presented a copy of his book "Irish Storeys / Storys" to be donated to the library, which the staff enthusiastically received. Jack's book will now be part of the permanent collection on the shelf of this amazing library.
The rest of the day was spent conducting research using all of the resources at our disposal. Census records, passenger lists, vital records, county histories, microfilm,as well as rows and rows of books made this day truly a researchers dream!

It was a wonderful experience to meet such dedicated researchers of the Storey and Story surname and to share information about our ancestors.
